Ireland 2024 Day 5

Our day started with Language School at 9:15 o‘clock. As Always it startet with playing games. After that we worked at our project, where we interviewed  five people on the streets. Afterwards we endet the school day with some more games. As soon as school endet, we had a couple hours freetime. We could go shopping or get something to eat. Then we drove to the Kilmainham Gaol, which was a prison and is now a museum and really important place for Irish history. Our guide told us many sad and tragic stories about the jail itself and the people that were in there. For example the stories

about Willie Pearse, Thomas McDonagh and Thomas Clarke. All of them were killed in the jail. We saw the different prison cells and the places, where the people were executed. At the end of our tour he showed us the outside wall of the building, where the people were hung, for the enjoyment of the volk. The jail was impressive and filled with history. After the tour we had the feeling that we learned a lot about the Irish history and how tragic it was. Then we had some more free time, where many people of our class met at the park and chilled.
